DreamHost’s Corporate Copywriter will steward our written brand voice with both internal and external audiences.

We’ll look to you to craft copy that builds a strong connection among our existing customers, drives new interest in DreamHost, and builds a sense of love and affection for our brand around the world. You’ll also work with our team members worldwide to share their successes, communicate company-wide announcements, and provide communications counsel to the executive team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Corporate Communications, Marketing, Product, and People teams to craft compelling narratives using copywriting best practices to drive engagement and action
  • Create impactful copy for a variety of marketing and internal communications channels, including digital and print ads, email, product web pages, blog posts, bylined articles, presentations, press releases, public statements, employee announcements, product brochures, videos, and more
  • Consistently produce error-free content that drives business results while adhering to our brand’s voice and tone guidelines
  • Generates sales-focused copy to drive online conversions using proven methods and techniques
  • Must have an innate ability to distill complicated technical concepts into plain english
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
  • Both generate and collaboratively edit outbound messaging across all teams
  • Present with confidence to senior team members effectively; determine the best way to get things done with leaders by understanding their goals and responding to their needs
  • Must exhibit a strong commitment to engagement measurement wherever possible
  • Passionate about – and committed to – delivering quality work
  • Have a sense of humor, and know how and when to use it

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience, ideally in a tech-focused organization, is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • You must be a clever and creative writer with a passion for technology and the people who use it
  • Collaboration is essential in this role, so you’ll need to be able to work both individually and with a variety of stakeholders across the entire organization
  • The ability to write and edit content across multiple mediums for a variety of audiences is essential
  • You must love words and never tire of seeing them placed into new and delightful configurations
  • Writing samples demonstrating mastery of copywriting across a variety of channels is expected
