The Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program (WDEP) is a business growth initiative that aims to provide WOMEN with the digital skills, information, and resources they need to START, GROW, and MONETIZE their businesses. The Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program (WDEP) is an Access initiative, implemented by the Nerdzfactory Foundation, that aims to provide businesswomen with the skills needed to digitize their business processes and position their businesses for long-term market relevance and success.
About the Training
The Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program (WDEP) is targeted towards existing and aspiring female entrepreneurs interested in learning and opportunities to grow an online business. The program objectives include, but are not limited to, encouraging more women to start an online business, promoting womenโs entrepreneurship, closing the digital gender gap, and improving the economic outcomes of women.
Importantly, the program focuses on equipping participants with skills in digital business, social media marketing, online business management, business pitching, bookkeeping, and many more. For maximum impact, the program will feature:
- Women Digital Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (WDEB)
- Women Digital Entrepreneurship Summit
- Business Connect Webinar
- Opportunity to pitch for a grant
The boot camp, webinar, and summit will equip participants with practical and hands-on knowledge, skills, and resources that they need to launch and grow their businesses online. The program will close with a pitch/grant competition where the 3 top ideas/pitches from the boot camp participants will be awarded prizes that will aid their businesses.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a Nigerian Female Citizen;
- Unemployed and underemployed women;
- Applicant must be between ages 25-40 years;
- Minimum education levels of SSCE & OND;
- Applicant must have access to the internet.
