The Pan-Atlantic University/MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP) 2024 for Nigerian media practitioners |All expense paid trip to South Africa

Applications are now open for the 2024 MTN Media Innovation Programme. The MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP) is a 6-week, six-month program for Nigerian media practitioners. The program will broaden participants’ knowledge and skill sets, as well as help them understand the changing media landscape and how to use technology effectively to create impactful media content.

The six-month, fully funded fellowship for Nigerian media practitioners aims to support the sustainable development of the country’s changing media scene. The program welcomes media practitioners from all platforms, including print, electronic, online, and social media content creators. The course aims to enhance participants’ understanding of Nigeria’s technology sector and the relationship between media and technology. It will also improve their ability to adapt to changing realities. Fellows will receive professional resources and mentorship from the SMC faculty.

Criteria:

• Must be a media professional/practitioner
• Must have a valid International Passport
• Must pass a written test and any subsequent interviews
• Must get a written release from employers to participate in the programme

Every participant will experience improved knowledge in three broad areas:

• The Telecoms industry
• Media Innovation
• Writing & Reporting With expert guidance, mentorship, and a supportive community of fellow media professionals, you will gain the skills and knowledge you need to make a real impact in the industry.

Programme Structure

• 33 Days in Class
  All accepted candidates will spend 33 days in class in the course of the training.
• 7 Days in South Africa
  An all expense paid trip to SouthAfrica for a 7 days training.
• 1 Day in MTN Nigeria Headquarters
  Candidates will be tutored at the MTN Nigeria Headquarters and MTN Group Headquarters.
• 1 Industry Visits and Tours
  A one day training at the Innovation Hub.
