About MetaMask
Weโre building for a future where the internet and world economy empowers people through interactions based on consent, privacy, and free association. Where both communities and individuals flourish.
To accomplish that, weโre working hard to make web3 accessible for everyone around the world.
MetaMask is both a crypto wallet and a gateway to the decentralized web.
Our tools help people create communities, play video games, access financial services, make payments, invest in assets, protect against economic turmoil, and more. Our browser extension and mobile platforms meet the needs of millions of users and developers across the world.
Originally a humble key manager, today MetaMask serves over 30 million monthly active users as a decentralized application development platform, an aggregator of decentralized cryptocurrency exchanges, and a decentralized identity manager.
What youโll do
The Extension Platform team aims to enable other teams – such as those building Swaps, Snaps, Confirmations, hardware wallet integrations, NFT management, Security Features, and more – to effectively integrate with and ship through our browser extension wallet.
We build tooling, architecture, libraries and subsystems for initiatives such as: migrating our codebase to Typescript, making it easy and fun to write automated tests, improving state management systems, better utilizing remote error monitoring systems, improving performance of local build systems, enabling static analysis of code quality, and better leveraging browser APIs to make new users experiences possible.
We donโt build features directly for MetaMaskโs end users, but we build the foundation on which those features are built, the tools used to build them, and the systems used to release them.
As part of the Extension Platform team, you would help us build these foundations, tools and systems, empowering MetaMaskโs engineers to build high quality wallet features at a high velocity.
