The NG-Cares Grant Programme Batch 2 has returned, this time with a focus on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) dealing with the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This state-level intervention, launched under the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES) Program, aims to mitigate the local impacts of the global pandemic by protecting vulnerable households’ livelihoods and assisting in the recovery of local economic activities, with a particular focus on MSMEs.
The NG-Cares Grant Programme, in collaboration with the World Bank, the Federal Government, and the Bank of Industry (BOI), concentrates on supporting the survival of SMEs across Nigeriaโs states by implementing three Delivery Link Indicators (DLIs):
- DLI 3.1 (Credit Enhancement Grants): Offers financial support to distressed MSEs.
- DLI 3.2 (Operations Grants):ย Provides one-off grants covering operational expenses like salaries, rent, and utilities.
- DLI 3.3 (IT Enhancement Grant):ย Facilitates grants for adopting digital technology and integrating platforms.
