NITDA is calling on all Nigerians to apply for the NITDA/Coursera scholarship 2024 and gain professional skills and certificates for free.
Here’s what you need to know about the scholarship:
NITDA has partnered with Coursera to offer learning scholarships enabling Nigerian citizens to obtain professional certifications from some of the world’s leading multinational tech companies (e.g. Meta, Google, IBM) and top-ranked US universities.

- UI/UX Design
- Data Analysis and Visualization
- Quality Assurance
- Product Management
- Data Science
- Animation
- AI/Machine Learning
- Cybersecurity
- Game Development
- Cloud Computing
- Dev Op
Applicants are to select one certification program each from Category A and Category B that they wish to be enrolled in.
Category A (IT Career Pathway) offers a total of 20 professional certification programs to help you kickstart a successful IT career.
Each program comprises a series of related courses focused on providing deep knowledge and hands-on skills required for employment.
When you complete each individual course within the program, you’ll earn a certificate of completion. However, the professional certification will be earned when you have completed all the required courses in the program.
Category B (Complementary Skills Pathway) offers 4 certification programs for you to choose from to complement your IT career skills and sharpen your use of digital productivity tools, entrepreneurship, or freelancing skills.

Successful applicants will receive a Coursera license in their provided email in the form of a joining link. They will then be able to join the program and enroll on a course by clicking on that link.
Each scholar of the NITDA Coursera Scholarship 2024will have access to the Coursera license for a period of six (6) months.
Scholars are expected to use this time to complete as many professional certifications as possible, but they can only be enrolled in one certification at a time, with any of the 3MTT 12 core skills listed below as courses within the certifications; Software Development, UI/UX Design, Data Analysis & Visualization, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Animation, AI / Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Game Development, Cloud Computing, Dev Ops and Data Science.
Benefits of the NITDA Coursera Scholarship 2024
- Successful applicants will receive a Coursera license in their provided email in the form of a joining link. They will then be able to join the program and enroll on a course by clicking on that link.
- Each scholar will have access to the Coursera license for a period of six (6) months.

Nitda Coursera Scholarship 2024 Requirements
Here are the requirements for the Nitda Coursera Scholarship 2024:
- Applicant must be a Nigerian
- Applicant must have a valid NIN to be able to register for the scholarship
- Applicant must be at least 16 years old to be eligible
