About the job
The Officer will be responsible for coordinating research activities, writing reports, managing field analysis, analyzing data, developing tools, conducting enumeration, and translating data into trends.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research methodologies, data analysis, report writing, and project coordination.
Research Coordination:
- Coordinate research activities, including data collection, surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
- Develop research plans, timelines, and protocols to ensure efficient data collection and analysis.
- Liaise with stakeholders and research partners to gather relevant information and ensure collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and standards in research practices.
Report Writing:
- Prepare comprehensive reports based on research findings, incorporating data analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Communicate research results effectively through well-structured and concise written reports.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather necessary information for report writing.
- Ensure reports are delivered within established deadlines.
Field Analysis and Data Management:
- Manage field analysis activities, including data collection, verification, and quality control.
- Conduct data cleaning, coding, and entry to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze research data using appropriate statistical methods and software.
- Interpret and present data findings in a clear and understandable manner.
Tool Development:
- Design and develop research tools such as surveys, questionnaires, and interview guides.
- Ensure research tools are aligned with research objectives and capture relevant data.
- Pilot test research tools and make necessary revisions based on feedback and results.
Enumeration and Data Translation:
- Conduct data enumeration activities, ensuring accurate data collection and recording.
- Translate raw data into meaningful trends, patterns, and insights.
- Identify key findings and implications from the data and present them in a visually appealing and accessible manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Research Methodologies, etc.).
- Proven experience in project coordination and research activities.
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills, with proficiency in statistical software.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in developing research tools, such as surveys and questionnaires.
- Familiarity with data management and quality control procedures.
- Experience in conducting data enumeration and analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in data visualization and presentation tools.
- Experience in the food, agriculture, development and nutrition sectors is highly desirable.
Location: Abuja (50% Hybrid)
Remuneration: NGN 400,000 – N500,000 monthly.
