The Emerald Africa financing program lends money to early-stage digital innovators in Sub-Saharan Africa who are improving access to credit for rural SMEs.
It is an exciting time in Africa for business and innovation, but there are currently insufficient financing products to fulfill this expanding demand, particularly for new and developing business models fueled by technology.
The Emerald Africa Financing Facility aims to fund loan books for early-stage enterprises through the use of a simple debt instrument, allowing entrepreneurs to preserve their valuable equity. The funding is tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs.
Eligibility
- Are you a digital innovator offering credit with a rural/agri focus?
- Are you focused on sub-Saharan Africa?
- Have you undertaken a pilot and achieved product-market fit?
- Are you at pre-Seed/Seed stage, requiring $50-$250k to grow your credit offerings to clients?
