Job Description
We’re looking for a talented YouTube Video Editor to work closely with Remote workHER , a creator focused on empowering people through career, lifestyle, and digital storytelling. If you have an eye for minimal but high-impact edits and a passion for content that speaks to clarity, growth, and authenticity, this role is for you.
You’ll be responsible for crafting 2–3 high-quality YouTube videos weekly that align with Adeife’s brand: clean, story-driven, natural, and professional. Think Vanessa Lau-style editing, no over-editing, no gimmicks, just crisp storytelling and flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit 2–3 long-form YouTube videos per week (average 8–15 minutes per video)
- Maintain brand voice, tone, and visual style consistent with Adeife’s channel
- Apply clean transitions, subtitle overlays, basic animation (when needed), b-rolls, and background music to enhance engagement
- Trim dead space, enhance flow, and create a compelling narrative arc
- Incorporate occasional screen recordings, slides, or social media cutaways
- Ensure videos are optimized for YouTube audience retention (hook, pacing, etc.)
- Upload to YouTube Studio with proper formatting, thumbnails (if applicable), and SEO-ready descriptions (optional but preferred)
- Collaborate on content feedback and iterate based on performance insights
- Occasionally assist with repurposing clips for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, or Reels
Qualifications:
- Proven experience editing for YouTube creators (please share your portfolio)
- Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- A strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and attention to detail
- Ability to meet weekly deadlines consistently
- Experience editing in a clean, modern, and minimalist style (Vanessa Lau)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take feedback constructively
