The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), on behalf of itself, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and co-venture partners, invites applications from qualified Nigerian students for the 2025 NNPC–SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme.
This programme aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skills of young Nigerians by providing yearly grants to successful applicants from their second year until the completion of their undergraduate degree programme.
Eligible undergraduate students studying in NUC-accredited courses at public Nigerian universities are invited to submit their electronic applications.
This initiative supports academic excellence and helps build the capacity of talented young Nigerians.

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens
- Be in their second year of full-time study at a Nigerian university (NUC-accredited)
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (on a 5.0 scale)
- Not hold any other oil & gas scholarship
Female students are strongly encouraged to apply.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Annual grant of ₦250,000 for the duration of undergraduate studies
SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Applications must be received before the deadline via the scholarship portal only.
2. Only candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited for the monitored computer-based test.
3. Only the top 10 candidates from each of the 36 states and FCT will be shortlisted for the test.
4. Falsified results will lead to disqualification.
5. Only candidates who pass all criteria will be contacted for the award.
6. All scholars must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 per session to retain the award.
