Applications are invited for the Google Creative Fellowship Program 2025. The Creative Fellowship places emerging talent on dedicated creative teams at Google, gaining exposure and hands-on experience across many of their in-house creative departments. The 6-month program aims to provide an enriching experience, while ushering in a dynamic network of creative talent with fresh perspectives and a strong “maker-first” approach. The Creative Fellowship experience differs across participants. Each Fellow will be placed on a Google creative team and work on real projects under that team’s guidance. Along with valuable work experience, the program includes an orientation, Fellowship project, ongoing inspirational talks, and a built-in community to support you along the way. Roles Brand Studio is a team of writers, art directors, designers, filmmakers, engineers, producers, and strategists focused on building the Google brand. They produce a range of creative work, including films, ad campaigns, and interactive experiences, that bring Google’s values to life for a global audience. Call for Nominations: 2026 GRO GEST Fellowship at the University of Iceland The GRÓ Gender Equality Studies and Training (GRÓ GEST) program calls for nominations for its academic programme in 2026. The GEST programme is a one semester postgraduate-level program (30 ECTS) at the University of Iceland, which runs from January to May 2026 The GRO GEST Fellowship is a Five-Month fully funded training program for Young Professionals from low and middle-income countries. At the end of the fellowship, candidates will get a Postgraduate diploma in Gender Equality Studies and Training (GEST). Every year, 20-25 young professionals are selected to attend the program. The Program aims to promote gender equality and social justice in low- and middle-income countries through a multidisciplinary approach. The YxY Weavership is a 10-month capacity-building fellowship for youth community organizers who are “weaving” local and global communities in service of education transformation. This program enables participants to contribute to the creation of life-affirming futures by deepening their skills as community weavers. The Weavership is designed in partnership with the Weaving Lab, a globally renowned community of practice for weavers, founded by some of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs. The act of weaving is complex: it involves deep self-awareness, developing intergenerational and intercultural relationships, organizing diverse education stakeholders around a common vision, and mobilizing people into action. It involves being and becoming the (eco)systems we wish to see. As a YxY Weaver, you will learn how to weave the self, relationships, communities, ecosystems and movements toward a world where all people and planet can thrive. CheckDesks Fellowships 2025 by CfA (Code for Africa) in West Africa The Code for Africa (CfA), through its flagship network, the African Fact-Checking Alliance (AFCA), is offering a seven-month incubation program to established media organizations or watchdog civil society organizations (CSOs) based in Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal to help them set up or expand CheckDesks. A CheckDesk is a dedicated fact-checking/verification unit within a news organization or CSO that uses the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) compliant techniques to research and debunk misleading or harmful information. The fellowships are part of the project ‘Strengthening Resilient Information Ecosystems in Africa,’ an initiative co-financed by the European Union, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in cooperation with diverse partners, including Code for Africa (CfA) and DW Akademie. The initiative seeks to strengthen the capacity of local media and watchdog organizations to expose, dismantle, and destabilize disinformation networks. It will also promote information integrity through the digitization of credible sources and supporting influencers to counter online manipulation. Eligibility Criterias for the CheckDesks Fellowships 2025 by CfA The organization must not work for any paramilitary or security organization. The organization must be based in one of the following countries: Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal. The organization must have an existing online presence, including an actively maintained website and/or social media profiles, or a commitment to establishing a digital footprint at the beginning of the program. The organization must have internet access to enable participating journalists, trainees, and researchers to access project resources and undertake their fact-checking assignments. The media organization or newsroom must be a member of the AFCA network. If you are not a member at the time of application, fill out this form to become an AFCA member before applying. The organization must have managerial and editorial staff committed to participating in the program during the agreed-upon period. The organization must commit to timely and open communication from the management and second team members. The seconded trainees must commit to agreed-upon weekly online training and task-based class assignments. The organization must commit to broadcasting or publishing content produced through the program in the specified cadence and driving engagement on an appropriate public platform. The seconded trainees must be fluent in the language of tuition and mentorship: French. UN Reham Al-Farra Memorial Journalism Fellowship 2025 for Developing Countries  The Reham Al-Farra Memorial Journalism Fellowship was mandated in December 1980 by United Nations (UN) General Assembly Resolution 35/201. Formerly known as the DPI Training Programme for Broadcasters and Journalists from Developing Countries, the programme was renamed in 2003 in honor of Reham Al-Farra, a 29-year-old Jordanian UN Public Information Officer who was killed in the 19 August 2003 bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad. The fellowship is a unique opportunity for young working journalists (between the ages of 22-35 from developing countries and countries with economies in transition to cover the UN. Hosted every autumn by the UN, the program enables this select group of journalists to learn first-hand about the UN’s work and to cover the General Assembly for their news outlets. Applications are now open for the 2025/2027 AFRIKA KOMMT! Fellowship Programme. AFRIKA KOMMT! brings together the most visionary young leaders from Africa and leading German companies. Companies benefit from the expertise, knowledge, local network and unique African perspective of the young professionals. The African fellows dive deep into the German corporate specifics, German business spirit and the German culture. Eligibility Requirements To apply for the programme you must: Be a Citizen of any African country Have a University degree in a relevant subject Postgraduate degree (e.g. MBA) is an advantage Have two to five years work experience Have excellent English language skills Basic knowledge of the German language is an advantage Not be older than 35 years at the time of application Benefits At the core of the AFRIKA KOMMT! programme is a one-year stay for the African professionals in Germany. During this time, the fellows actively work in their partner companies where they are trained and mentored. Other components organized by GIZ such as language courses, trainings and networking events supplement the learning experience. Professional and tailor-made selection process: The fellows of the programme are chosen in a comprehensive selection process that is implemented in close cooperation with the participating companies. Sprinng Writing Fellowship 2025 for African Writers

The Sprinng Writing Fellowship (SWF) is a FREE and intensive 6-week online mentorship program for developing Nigerian, Ghanaian, Liberian, and South African writers with great potential and willingness to learn. This fellowship focuses on 4 genres of literature: Poetry, Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, and Book Reviews. During the 6 weeks, mentees will be in contact with their mentors, sending them their works and getting reviews and commentaries. Mentors and mentees will aim to work on at least 1 piece of writing in their select genre per week. The medium of communication between the mentors and mentees throughout this program will be via email, phone calls, WhatsApp, and text messages. In addition, all mentees will be provided weekly airtime and access to 1-year MasterClass membership as part of the program. Eligibility Applicant must be a Nigerian, Ghanaian, Liberian, or South African citizen; Must reside in Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, or South Africa; Must be between the ages of 18 to 25; Have not published a book before (eBook/chapbook/hardcopy).
