The Department of State Services (DSS) invites suitably qualified Nigerians to submit applications for recruitment into various cadres of the Service.
Applications must be handwritten and accompanied by photocopies of relevant academic qualifications, and addressed to the Director General, State Services (DGSS) through the State Command Headquarters of the applicant’s state of origin.
General Requirements (Graduate Cadre)
- Applicants must be Nigerians and indigenes of their respective states of origin. Applications must be submitted at the State Command Headquarters of origin.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 30 years.
- Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits including English Language in one sitting.
- Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division (2:2) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit from institutions recognized and accredited by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
- Applicants must present their NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Female applicants must be single, while male applicants must not be less than 1.60 meters in height.
Other Ranks (Non-Graduate Cadre) Requirements
- Applicants must be Nigerians and indigenes of their respective states of origin.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 27 years.
- Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits including English Language in one sitting.
- Female applicants must be single, while male applicants must not be less than 1.60 meters in height.
Required Documents
Each application must include:
- A handwritten application letter addressed to the State Director of DSS.
- A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Photocopies of academic and professional certificates.
- National Identification Number (NIN) slip/card.
- Other relevant supporting documents.
Method of Application
- Applicants are required to submit their applications through their State Command Headquarters, reflecting their senatorial zone.
- All applications must reach the Admin Unit of the State Command Headquarters on or before 22nd August, 2025.
- The recruitment examination exercise is scheduled to hold on 30th August, 2025 across designated centers.
