Criterias for the 2025 MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition
Participation Rules:Â
- Open only to Nigerian students aged 9–15 in primary or secondary school.
- Spellers must register as STUDENTS to participate.
- Parents/guardians cannot participate on behalf of students.
- Practice quizzes are available – play as many times as you like!
- Finalists (Top 20) must be on the MTN mPulse tariff plan.
2025 MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition Prizes
1st Prizes
- Student –Â MTN CEO for a Day, mPulse Face for the Year, 5million Naira scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone and mPulse goody bag.
- Teacher – 500,000 cash
- School –Â mPulse School intervention, 1CT Lab (10 laptops), 10 MTN 5G Broadband
2nd Prize
- Student –Â 2.5million Naira scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone and mPulse goody bag.
- Teacher – 300,000 cash
3rd Prize
- Student –Â 1.5 million Naira scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone and mPulse goody bag.
- Teacher – 200,000 cash
4th-10th Finalists
- 500,000 cash prize each and mPulse goody bag
11th-20th Finalists
- 200,000 cash prize and mPulse goody bag
Regional Prize
- 1,000,000 Reward – Top School participation per region (with the highest number of participants with a minimum of 100 participants
Competition Stages
- Round 1: 10 spelling questions – live on mpulse.mtn.ng.
- Round 2: 20 spelling questions – also on mpulse.mtn.ng for shortlisted students only.
- Regional Event: On-ground regional competition which will be held in Ibadan, Enugu and Abuja for shortlisted students only.
- Grand Finale:Â Live event in Lagos, streamed online for everyone to enjoy!
