The Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme (GCYLP) is an exciting programme to engage, empower, and inspire young digital leaders and changemakers. GCYLP is supporting young visionaries from around the world who propose creative, far-reaching, innovative, and feasible community-driven projects aimed at creating a more inclusive and empowered digital future. ITU in partnership with Huawei, is providing guidance, training, and financial support to 30 young fellows per year to enable them to practically implement digital development projects in their diverse communities across the world. Through this programme, young leaders have the unique opportunity to make new digital development ideas a reality, or to expand the impact of their existing projects! Eligibility Criteria Young person aged 18-28. Interested in making real impact in your communities by leading your own digital development project. Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a tertiary education institution from a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or a demonstrably STEM-related academic programme. Able to communicate in English, the main language of the programme? This language requirement is to ensure that all fellows can benefit from the planned offerings of trainings, networking, and events. GCCM Climate Mobility Fellowship 2025–2026 | Stipend available

Applications for the Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) Climate Mobility Fellowship 2025–2026 are now open. This year-long fellowship is designed to enable youth leaders from Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Pacific, with the tools, networks, and expertise needed to drive impactful solutions in the growing field of climate mobility. The CMF aims to equip youth leaders with critical academic training, exposure to international climate mobility policies, and hands-on project experience. This initiative will support 12 youth leaders from diverse regions, including four from Pacific Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Fellows will develop their expertise in climate mobility governance, policy, and research while engaging directly in key global policy processes. The Fellowship is built around four key pillars: Formal Learning through In-Residence & Virtual Remote Training: Fellows will undergo two distinct training phases: an immersive two-week in-person program focused on building academic knowledge and policy frameworks, followed by a virtual remote program that strengthens practical skills in advocacy, communications, project development, and action planning. Hands-on Learning through GCCM Programmes: Fellows will gain practical experience by integrating directly into ongoing GCCM activities, contributing to policy research, data analysis, regional programming, strategic communications, and public advocacy. This will provide continuous opportunities to build skills and expertise in the climate mobility space. Participation in Global Policy Processes: Fellows will have access to significant global policy events such as the UN Oceans Conference, Berlin Climate Mobility Forum, UN High-Level Week, and COP30. Through participation in expert panels and networking with decision-makers, they will gain valuable insights into global climate mobility policies and contribute to shaping the future of the field. Climate Mobility Impact Project: Over the 12-month fellowship, each fellow will design and implement a Climate Mobility Impact Project, focusing on a local or regional climate mobility challenge. These projects, which can propose new solutions or build on existing practices, will allow fellows to apply their learning, contribute to real-world solutions, and drive measurable change in their communities. Benefits Fellows will receive a stipend of $800 per month for 12 months. Travel and accommodation associated with fellowship-related training and events will be covered separately from the stipend. Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellowship 2025/2026 for young emerging African Leaders | Fully Funded to London, UK & £2,365 monthly stipend

Applications are now open for the 2025/2026 Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellowship. This fellowship is a joint initiative with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation. It offers candidates at the early-to-mid-stage of their career the opportunity to spend ten months at Chatham House working on an individual research project of their choosing. Fellows take part in the core work of the Institute, developing their skills through the leadership programme, and furthering their professional network in the field of international affairs. Requirements Citizenship The fellowship is open to citizens of any African country. Applications are also accepted from applicants holding dual nationality which includes any African country. Education Applicants must hold a completed BA degree or equivalent and have experience with conducting research. Career The ideal candidate should be at the early-to-mid-stage of their career and come from one of the following fields or work: academia, NGO, business, government departments, civil society or the media. All applicants should possess knowledge of, and an interest in, international affairs, their chosen area of research, and Chatham House’s mission and research. Age restrictions We do not impose age restrictions for applicants. Duration Academy Fellows spend ten months at Chatham House between October 2025 and July 2026. Location Fellow are based full-time at Chatham House, London with hybrid working also possible. Leadership Masterclass Programme All fellows participate in and contribute to the Leadership Programme which encompasses the following components: Intensive induction week Academy fellowships begin with an intensive five-day induction week to become familiarized with the elements of the fellowships, meet their host research programme and have their first personal development coaching session. Thematic sessions In these sessions, fellows meet and discuss current international affairs challenges with subject matter experts from Chatham House and beyond. The sessions cover the principal substantive and skills-based areas vital for informed and effective international leadership. Fellows usually chair these sessions and are expected to contribute to and learn from one another’s experience. Leadership skills workshops Fellows participate in half-day workshops focusing on specific aspects of leadership such as achieving policy impact, stakeholder mapping, crisis management and negotiation skills. Leadership Briefings  Fellows engage in discussions with a diverse group of global leaders from government, business, media, and the non-profit sector. In these informal sessions, leaders share their leadership visions and strategies, along with personal insights from their own leadership journeys. The sessions feature members of the Academy’s faculty among other speakers. Project presentations Fellows present updates on their research projects to help develop presentation skills, provide a forum for peer-review and to analyse issues outside their own area of expertise. Personal development coaching Fellows have access to one-on-one sessions with a dedicated coach as a way to grow their self-awareness. Fellows work with the coach to set personal development objectives which they work to meet during their fellowship and beyond. Media training Fellows learn effective interview skills needed for television and radio culminating in a mock interview from which they receive feedback on style and any areas of improvement Career mentoring (optional) Fellows’ development is facilitated and supported by partnering them with mentors to enhance their career perspective and path. Remuneration and benefits Academy Fellows receive a monthly stipend of £2,565 for London living expenses to cover accommodation, utilities, food and transport. Chatham House also covers: Relocation costs: travel, accommodation support and visa fees. If required, Chatham House will sponsor a fellow’s visa (T5: Temporary Work – Government Authorised Exchange); UK Immigration Health Surcharge (excluding dental/optical care and prescriptions); and Research expenses, relating to field work, outreach, events and publications. The YxY Weavership is a 10-month capacity-building fellowship for youth community organizers who are “weaving” local and global communities in service of education transformation. This program enables participants to contribute to the creation of life-affirming futures by deepening their skills as community weavers. The Weavership is designed in partnership with the Weaving Lab, a globally renowned community of practice for weavers, founded by some of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs. The act of weaving is complex: it involves deep self-awareness, developing intergenerational and intercultural relationships, organizing diverse education stakeholders around a common vision, and mobilizing people into action. It involves being and becoming the (eco)systems we wish to see. African Epidemic Service (AES) Fellowship Programme 2025 – Epidemiology Track

Applications are open for the African Epidemic Service (AES) Fellowship Programme 2025. Africa CDC has developed a continental African Epidemic Service (AES), an elite workforce hosted and directed by the African Union. The African Epidemic Service has three tracks namely, Epidemiology, Laboratory Leadership and Public health informatics. The African Epidemic Service – Epidemiology track is a two-year competency based applied epidemiology training program that aims to strengthen the disease prevention and response capacity of African Union member states. The first cohort of the AES – Epidemiology track commenced their training on August 2024 and they are currently undergoing their field training in their respective host sites. The program is now accepting application for the Second cohort of the African Epidemic Service – Epidemiology track. Programme Details The fellowship include a two year training in applied epidemiology, with three months in class training in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and 21 months of applied training on a site hosted by an African Union Member State. The didactic training will be delivered in all African Union languages, while host site activities will be done in the language of the Member State. Successful applicants will participate in experiential core learning of activities that include, but not limited to: data analysis, surveillance system evaluation, and outbreak investigation. The AES Epidemiology fellow will have the support of an expert supervisor. Fellows will be also matched with experienced public health mentors who will provide support throughout the fellowship programme. Benefits Africa CDC will provide all learning and development materials and meet all costs associated with the fellowship, including travel-related costs (e.g., airfare, lodging, incidentals), stipends, hardware, and insurance. Fellows will be supported to ensure that they have the relevant software and sufficient Internet connectivity for online learning. Eligibility Applicants for the Fellowship must: be citizens of an African Union Member State; Be a youth as defined by the African Union, i.e., an individual under the age of 35. have been employed at the time of application in an African country with permission from a government institution to attend the two years training, with right to return post training; have a graduate degree from an accredited school of human medicine, veterinary medicine, or other doctoral-level training in nursing, environmental sciences, or other public health field; possess an MPH or equivalent degree with coursework in epidemiology or quantitative research methods; and have at least three years of recent full-time public health post graduate experience in an African country; Have a functional knowledge of the any of the African Union working languages and ability to read and write technical medical and epidemiological texts. The African fellows dive deep into the German corporate specifics, German business spirit and the German culture.
