About The Role
As a result of our continued growth and ambitious plans, Student Beans are recruiting for a Web Developer to join us. Working alongside our Senior Web Developer, this role is ideal for a Mid-Weight Web Developer (experienced across the full stack using JavaScript & PHP), or a Junior Web Developer (who has a bias for either JavaScript or PHP and happy to learn the other!).
Responsibilities Include
- Create bespoke & custom applications across our full web stack. Our roadmap consists of entire website redevelopment through to niche applications to boost user experience across our sites.
- Assist our Senior Web Developer across the full development lifecycle
- Collaborate across product, design and marketing team in order to contribute technical guidance and assistance on projects.
- Stay up to date on latest frameworks & technological trends with a keen eye on innovating and implementing new approaches to our stack
Requirements
- Given the varied nature of the role, we are open to either an experienced Mid-Weight Web Developer who is as confident across vanilla PHP & WordPress as they are on the front end using JavaScript. Equally, the role can be suitable for a Junior Web Developer with experience building custom WordPress applications as we have a strong development & training pathway!
- Knowledgable and confident coding in PHP (to build bespoke WordPress apps) & JavaScript.
- Experience manipulating WordPress websites to improve user experience.
- Any exposure to UX through Photoshop or Figma is an added bonus, but in no way necessary to be successful in the role.
- Naturally self motivated individual who is excited by the concept of innovating and always trying something new.
