Deloitte One Young World Scholarship 2025: Empowering Young Leaders for a Sustainable Future

The world faces complex challenges that require bold, innovative solutions driven by technology and creativity to build a sustainable and equitable future for both humanity and the planet. Among the most urgent issues are the climate crisis and the preservation of natural ecosystems. Emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), present immense potential to accelerate climate action. These tools can enhance energy efficiency, enable smart monitoring, develop predictive climate models, and support data-driven decision-making. However, the environmental impact of these technologies must be carefully managed. For instance, AI’s growing energy consumption and resource demands could contribute to higher greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, ensuring the sustainable use of such innovations is critical to maximizing their benefits while minimizing harm to the planet. Equally important is equipping the next generation with the skills needed to navigate these challenges. The dual transition to a digital and green economy demands significant investment in both digital and sustainability-focused skills.
