April 2020, we thought the world was going to die.

The pandemic was in great form and was rapidly ravaging humanity millions apiece.

Eventually, the world did not die. But it did change.

In less than a year, the world saw the greatest change in human behaviour history ever had to bear. Especially how we work.

We are yet to get fully back to where we were.

Maybe we shouldn’t talk about recovering anymore. Maybe this is the new world. Maybe everything’s going to be like this forever. Or at least till another force comes along to change us again.

With the way we work mostly affected by the pandemic, what does the future holds for job seekers?

Glassdoor made research and predicted that these jobs, below, are the hottest of 2021. Hottest by pay, demand, and job satisfaction.

Got it?

Java is a programming language used in building apps and software.

Many of the software running on the internet and our desktops are built by Java.

With startups creatively and technologically building solutions to solve human problems, Java is sort of experience orgasm. This app, that app, this software, that software.

Python is splinting right behind. Perhaps almost as popular as Java. But in the job market, it’s nowhere near Java.

That’s what changed. And that’s why dentistry makes this list.
