Application for the Turkish Government Scholarships (Tรผrkiye Scholarships 2022) is now open for international students from all countries.
Tรผrkiye Scholarships is a government-funded higher education scholarship program run by the Republic of Tรผrkiye for international students. The primary purpose of Tรผrkiye Scholarships is to provide equal opportunities to successful students around the world in order for them to receive scholarship education at international standards. It is also aimed to develop mutual cooperation between Turkey and other countries and to contribute to regional and global development in many fields from academia to art, from economy to literature, technology to architecture.
Tรผrkiye Scholarships is considered to be the most comprehensive scholarship program in the world with the possibility of the university and department placement, monthly scholarships, university tuition, health insurance, housing, Turkish language course, plane tickets and free academic and cultural programs. Tรผrkiye Scholarships provide international students with the opportunity to study and receive scholarships at the most prestigious universities in Tรผrkiye.

- The Success Scholarship Program is a program specially designed for students who are currently studying at Turkish universities on their own and who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance.
- The Success Scholarship Program only covers monthly stipend. Accommodation and other expenses are not covered by the Success Based Scholarship.

- Undergraduate: 500 TL
- Masterโs: 700 TL
- PhD: 900 TL
- The student can benefit from this scholarship for 1 academic year.
- Research Scholarship Program (3-12 months)
- The Research Scholarship Program is a program designed to encourage international researchers and academicians to cooperate with Turkish academicians in the most prestigious universities of Tรผrkiye.
- PhD holders or PhD candidates at the dissertation stage may also apply to this program.
- The Research Scholarship Program only covers monthly stipend.
- Monthly Stipend: 4000 TL
- Applications for the Research Scholarship Program are open throughout the year. Assessment and admissions are made in four different periods.
- KATฤฐP (8-10 months)
- The Research Scholarship Program is a program designed to encourage international researchers and academicians to cooperate with Turkish academicians in the most prestigious universities of Tรผrkiye.
- PhD holders or PhD candidates at the dissertation stage may also apply to this program.
- The Research Scholarship Program only covers monthly stipend.

Eligible Groups:
- Citizens of all countries
- Graduates or those who will graduate at the end of the current academic year (before August 2022)
- Researchers and academics
Ineligible Groups:
- Turkish citizens and individuals who have lost Turkish citizenship
- Individuals who are currently enrolled in programs at Turkish universities at the level of education they will apply for
Minimum Academic Achievement
- For undergraduate candidates: 70%
- For graduate candidates: 75%
- For candidates of Health Sciences (Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy): 90%
Age Criteria:
- For undergraduate programs: being under the age of 21
- For masterโs programs: being under the age of 30
- For PhD programs: being under the age of 35
- For Research Scholarship: being under the age of 45

APPLICATION PROCESS

- Then, upload all required documents. It will also be beneficial for you to include your extracurricular activities and achievements in different fields.
- List your dream university and program preferences.
- Write an original letter of intent explain your preferences, expectations and goals for the future.
- After reviewing all the stages and documents, approve your application.

- Required Documents:ย For applications made online through the Tรผrkiye Scholarships Application System (TBBS), all candidates must upload the following documents to the system:
- A valid identity document, ID card or passport
- A photograph of the candidate taken within the last 1 year
- National exam results (if any)
- Diploma or temporary graduation certificate
- Transcript
- International exam results (GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc.) if required by the chosen university or program
- International language test results such as TOEFL, DELF if required by the chosen university or program
- A proposal for a research topic and a written example of the research you have carried out (only for PhD applications)
- Important Details:
- Many programs in Turkish universities are taught in Turkish language. However, some departments and universities may offer programs in English and other languages. Candidates who wish to study in such programs must be able to provide an internationally accepted language proficiency certificate. (TOEFL or other equivalent certifications if university officially stated acceptable). Most of these programs require international admission test results (GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc.). Candidates can check the language of instruction while choosing programs in the application system.
- Undergraduate candidates who possess International qualifications such as SAT or GCSE instead of national exam scores, will need to provide the minimum required qualifications needed for completing secondary school according to these international exams.
- All Tรผrkiye Scholarships awardees who do not possess C1 Level Certificate for Turkish Proficiency (including those who are placed into English or other language medium programs) must attend 1-year Turkish Language Course and attain the C1 Level Certificate by the end of their academic year.
