Call for Applications: Global Landscape Forum (GLF) Sustainable Finance Coordinator

Apply now to become the Global Landscape Forum (GLF) Sustainable Finance Coordinator. The Sustainable Finance Coordinator will support GLF’s efforts to mainstream sustainable finance for nature-based solutions, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem restoration. With an expanding portfolio of donors and partners, GLF’s Sustainable Finance program is growing, driving innovative financial solutions and strengthening partnerships with key financial organizations worldwide. This role will contribute to the design and implementation of sustainable finance initiatives, ensuring alignment with GLF’s broader work streams, including Community & Action (GLFx and Youth), Learning, Knowledge, and Digital Communications, as well as integration with CIFOR-ICRAF initiatives, notably Resilient Landscapes. The coordinator will play a central role in organizing finance-focused events, shaping knowledge products, and facilitating collaboration across GLF teams and external partners. A key focus will be on increasing the bank ability of locally-led projects and supporting access to finance mechanisms for local communities and Indigenous Peoples, ensuring that sustainable finance solutions are both inclusive and impactful. Through these efforts, the role will help scale investment into sustainable landscapes and drive meaningful action at both local and global levels. Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the GLF Deputy Director and the GLF Sustainable Finance Lead, the Sustainable Finance Coordinator will play a key role in advancing GLF’s sustainable finance efforts by managing project deliverables, fostering strategic partnerships, and integrating sustainable finance across GLF initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Lead the coordination and implementation of sustainable finance grant deliverables, overseeing and monitoring project milestones and results, and engaging with partners and donors. Lead the organization and management of the flagship GLF sustainable finance events, as well as workshops, webinars and sustainable finance sessions within larger GLF events. Coordinate and deliver capacity-building initiatives, in collaboration with other GLF teams, aimed at enhancing local communities’ and Indigenous Peoples’ access to sustainable finance. This includes designing training programs, matchmaking events, and piloting new mechanisms for improving financial access for project developers. Work with the Knowledge and Communications teams to integrate sustainable finance objectives into broader events, campaigns, and policy narratives. Engage with strategic initiatives within CIFOR-ICRAF, notably Resilient Landscapes, to align efforts, share expertise, and identify opportunities for collaboration on sustainable finance, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem restoration. Eligibility A university degree in a related discipline (e.g., environmental finance, sustainable finance, business management and development, international development, environmental studies, international relations, or a similar field). At least 3 years of experience in sustainable finance. Experience in program management, multi-stakeholder processes, particularly in developing countries or projects focused on sustainable landscapes, is a strong advantage. Familiarity with international development and/or environmental policy processes is desirable. Experience engaging with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Rio Conventions (CBD, UNFCCC, UNCCD) is a plus but not required. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other languages (especially French, Spanish, Indonesian, or German) is an advantage. The MasterCard Transforming Nigerian Youths Program aims to create a network of entrepreneurial and managerial change-makers specifically youths and women across the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector in Nigeria. This program is brought to Nigeria by the Young Africa Works-Mastercard Foundation in partnership with the Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University. 2025 SoCreative Africa Learning Program by The British Council The British Council SoCreative Africa Learning Program is focused on entrepreneurship and delivers a collection of free online courses for the next generation of African leaders to support them through their business journey. The program is developed to support the British Council’s wider Creative Economy strand, designed to help develop an ecosystem in which young entrepreneurs can thrive. Aspiring and early-stage young African entrepreneurs in creative industries like fashion, music, film, and photography are being offered the chance to join a new e-learning program launched by the British Council. It is part of a wider creative economy project being made available by the British Council, the United Kingdom’s international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities, to create stronger partnerships between countries in sub-Saharan Africa, and help develop an ecosystem in which young entrepreneurs can thrive. Under the supervision of the Director, the Research Fellow – Generative AI and Education will assist with the planning, coordination, production and marketing of research activities related to generative AI and education. The responsibilities will include: Explore and conduct research on a series of topics of generative AI and education. Draft literature reviews based on the topics of focus. Draft blog posts on different topics in collaboration with other researchers and experts. Test generative AI tools to support the research process. Support the book production on generative AI and education for Springer Nature in the UNU’s AI and Sustainability book series. Specifically, Support to prepare for the book proposal. Collect topics for the book, plan book writing timeline, and identify experts in the fields. Conduct in-depth research in each topic and meet regularly to discuss progress in research and writing. Coordinate with other book chapter contributors to ensure timely delivery of the chapter; help them to enrich the content on the UN perspective Work closely with the publisher, Springer Nature, to ensure compliance of the publisher in the book production process. Organize webinars on generative AI and education: identify and contact speakers, coordinate content with speakers, prepare marketing materials for the webinars, and summarize blog articles post-webinars. Engage speakers to contribute to the book Search for relevant conferences to showcase our research outcomes. Actively look for research grants, and develop research grants on the topics. Co-create research proposals with partners (e.g. Ministry of Education) in the UNU Global AI Network. Prepare a panel session to contribute to the 2025 UNU Macau AI Conference on Generative AI and Education. Support the UNU Macau team with the AI conference preparation. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Stipend Interns who are not in receipt of financial support for the purpose of this internship from other sources such as universities or other institutions will receive a stipend from UNU to partially subsidize basic daily expenses such as meals, transportation, and internet costs for the duration of the internship. The monthly stipend of UNU Macau for full-time placement will be MOP$5102.63. Part-time internship arrangements are prorated accordingly. Eligibility University studies in one of the following disciplines: educational technology, education in general, communications, computer science, AI, digital media, law, business, social sciences and other relevant fields, with strong research background is required. Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) Global Cohort 2025

Applications are open for the Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) Global Cohort 2025. Women Empowering Nations provides young women 17-23 with an immersive three-month virtual leadership development experience building the next generation of social impact executive leaders. It dives into various topics including culture and identity, public speaking, personal and professional branding, executive leadership, and social justice and advocacy. Participants gain global exposure and executive coaching from industry experts rooted in mental well-being, storytelling, advocacy, values-based leadership, and service. The cohort concludes with a Global Day of Service that all members participate in around the world to impact their local communities. With the GLOW Global Cohort, for every one GLOW member developed, they have impacted on average over 100 more people in their community. Over 6,800 children and community members globally have benefitted from their initiatives focused on education, health, food access, housing security, and environmental sustainability.
